New research report by Dr. Trần Anh Thông, Senior Research Associate at Health and Agricultural Policy Research Institute - HAPRI for International Pollutants Elimination Network (IPEN).
The purpose of the project study was to
Provide a general overview of pesticides registered and used in Vietnam, and on what crops;
Identify manufacturers and exporters;
Outline efforts in the country to phase out the use of highly hazardous pesticides and the challenges therein; and
Provide information about the use of alternative, non-chemical approaches such as ago-ecology in agricultural practices in Vietnam
This report relates to Sustainable Development Goals 2, 3, 6, 8, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

Thuốc trừ sâu nguy hiểm cao ở Việt Nam: Phân tích tình huống
Báo cáo nghiên cứu mới của TS Trần Anh Thông, Nghiên cứu viên Cao cấp tại Viện Nghiên cứu Chính sách Nông nghiệp và Sức khỏe - HAPRI cho International Pollutants Elimination Network (IPEN).
Mục đích của nghiên cứu dự án là
Cung cấp một cái nhìn tổng quan về thuốc trừ sâu được đăng ký và sử dụng ở Việt Nam, và dùng lên những loại cây trồng nào;
Xác định nhà sản xuất và xuất khẩu;
Phác thảo những nỗ lực trong nước để loại bỏ việc sử dụng thuốc trừ sâu cực kỳ nguy hiểm và những thách thức trong đó;
Cung cấp thông tin về việc sử dụng các phương pháp thay thế, phi hóa học như sinh thái học trước đây ở Việt Nam.
Báo cáo này liên quan đến các Mục tiêu Phát triển Bền vững 2, 3, 6, 8, 12, 13, 14 và 15.
