Dr. Kien is the Director of Food loss in the Pangasius Catfish Value Chain of the Mekong River Basin (CS-2020-209) - ACIAR/IDRC, a senior associate at HAPRI-UEH, and adjunct senior researcher at the School of Environmental & Rural Sciences, UNE; and research fellow at ANU RSM.

Dr. Heimoana: Prior to joining CSIRO Cotton Research in 1997, Dr. Heimoana worked in the horticultural export industry, on fruit fly ecology and management and quarantine disinfestation. Her background in Plant Protection and IPM fitted in well with developing IPM strategies in the Cotton Industry as well as research on economic pest thresholds, insect and plant sampling techniques, insect breeding and ecology, host plant resistance, non-target effects of Bt-cotton and insecticides, plant compensation for insect damage, resistance and insect borne diseases. Dr. Heimoana is interested in Entomophagy and participates in a CSIRO initiative into the development of insect protein raised on waste products. She is currently also looking into options to improve (i) insecticide application to better target sucking pests, and (ii) collaboration with pasture IPM groups in New Zealand.

Dr. Wijffels: Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO. Project Leader of Heat stress and inflammation

Dr. Ha Truong is an Aquaculture Nutritionist at CSIRO, with expertise in diet and ingredient evaluation, nutrient utilization, and digestive physiology of prawns. Through collaborations with industry and academia, her research aims to improve the sustainability and viability of Australian aquaculture through improved diet formulation and feeding strategies.
